BOAT TOUR

We took a boat tour under the golden gate bridge and around Alcatraz.

This was sooooo fun. The captain was way kool! he made us laugh. We met a family and a couple who sat up front with us. We talked and laughed. One couple was from Hawaii; their daughter was the girl with the t shirt " Hawaii loves Simon"

The other couple was interesting too. The women was a storm chaser and shared her stories.

The captain of the boat had jokes :) He also played the song "on the dock of the bay" we all laughed and sang loud and proud. Our kids looked at us like we were all crazy!

HOSTEL

We were all excited to drive to this light house. Chris explained to me that people sleep there for almost free as long as they help cook/clean. They call these accomodations Hostels. Hey that name was disturbing. He talked us into it, we checked it out and that was all that we did. We got the heck out of there. The house was so adorable and the grounds were gorgeous. It just wasn't for us at this time. We decided to check these accomodations out on the internet.

COUNTRY ROAD

COUNTRY ROAD

Leaving San Francisco wasn't to bad because we all knew it was going to be a beautiful drive.

We looked forward to spending time on the beach in Monterey, and in Santa Barbara.

We also looked forward to visiting the sea lions just north of Hearsts Castle. We used to visit the sea lions at least once a year. It had been awhile for all of us.
